Welcome to Walk with Ease!

Thanks for enrolling in the Walk with Ease (WWE) program. Walk with Ease is an evidence-based physical activity program developed by the Arthritis Foundation to help manage symptoms associated with arthritis but the program has been broadly endorsed as a 'lifestyle management program' since there are many physical, social and emotional benefits associated with physical activity.

This online portal will provide access to video-based lessons and resources to help you set up and monitor your own physical activity plan over time. We encourage you to review the materials each week so that you can stay on track with the program and gain the full benefits. The goal setting and behavioral tracking tools are particularly beneficial for helping you create your plan and see your progress across the program, since goal setting is one of the most important elements of changing behavior.

This project in Nebraska was supported by the CDC PHHS Block Grant (listing number 93.991) and is coordinated by a team from the University of Nebraska Kearney and the University of Nebraska Medical Center as part of a multistate effort to increase physical activity among adults and those with health conditions that benefit from regular activity. The online platform will prompt you to complete a few questions before and after the program. This information is used by our team (and the program developers) to evaluate and improve the program. Information may be used for research purposes but your identity will not be linked to any of the responses you provide. Information will only be reported in aggregated formats, and open ended responses will have identifying information removed to protect your confidentiality and anonymity.

If you have any questions you can email us at pawl-aging@unk.edu

We hope you enjoy the program!
